To raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, young people and staff at The Derwen School took part in a socially distanced coffee morning.
For part of the morning, they learnt about the charity and how the money raised will help support people living with cancer. Young people and staff were all prepared well for the event by making delicious cakes all week and planning their morning. The morning started with coffee, tea and juice and some tasty cakes, games, and the big Macmillan quiz!
Empathy and understanding for people living with this dreadful disease was the theme of the morning.
The Derwen School raised a fantastic £88 for the charity in just 2 hours. A big ‘Well Done’ to everyone involved!
